Practical Fishkeeping magazine, the UK's best-selling aquarium magazine, is to launch a new website and mobile-optimised site.
The new website allows readers to read the latest news and blogs from PFK, as well as browse through extensive archives of material from past issues of the print magazine.
The site also includes a new business directory which holds details on over 1000 aquatic companies, and allows businesses to add their own listing free of charge.
Many of the applications, calculators and other tools from the previous Practical Fishkeeping site are due to be ported to the new platform shortly, so users are going to see a steady stream of enhancements and new functionality over the coming months.
Foremost among the new features is a mobile-optimised website, which detects when a user is browsing from a mobile phone and shows them content perfectly adapted to their handset, making the site quick and easy to browse while on the move.
According to data from the independent competitive intelligence organisation Hitwise, the Practical Fishkeeping site is the busiest fishkeeping site in the UK and regularly records traffic of over 230,000 unique users every month.
