Experience life as a hamster

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience life as a hamster?
Well, a French hotel is now giving its guests the chance to find out. For 99 Euros (£88) a night, visitors to the hotel in Nantes can discover how hamsters go about their daily business.
Guests can feast on hamster grain, get a workout by running in a giant wheel and sleep in haystacks in a suite called Hamster Villa.
It’s the latest venture from owners Frederic Tabary and Yann Falquerho, who run a company renting out unusual venues to adventure seekers.
The pair, both architects, have designed a room in the 18th century hotel to resemble the inside of a hamster’s cage.
“Our designs are always a bit bizarre,” said Yann. “Children love hamsters because they’re cuddly little animals. Adults love them too. We discovered our guests had wanted or had owned hamsters when they were small — so we thought it would be a good idea to offer the ultimate hamster experience.”

"Weird, but somehow appealing! Real hamsters sleep all together in a big pile & yet the one at the bottom still manages to keep breathing. Will that experience be included in the Hamster Villa holiday? It takes the concept of "togetherness" into a new dimension!"
