Earth Animal, the US company founded by integrative veterinary medicine pioneers Dr Bob and Susan Goldstein, is ramping up its UK operations.


After a successful launch of their award-winning No-Hide Wholesome Chews through an exclusive partnership with Pedigree Wholesale, the company is determined to establish itself as a leading light in UK specialist pet retail through its mission to create more natural, humane, sustainable and effective ways to change things for the better, one Earth Animal at a time.

To that end, it has just appointed UK-based Will Baggaley as its first international sales and marketing director and Liz Green as a full-time brand manager at Pedigree Wholesale.

Will joins Earth Animal having initially launched the brand into the UK as head of marketing for Pedigree Wholesale where he also worked on market-leading brands, including Chuckit!, Walter Harrison's and Hurtta, along with the overall marketing of Pedigree's broader business and the relaunch of the specialist pet retail chain, Just For Pets. Now with dedicated focus Will can support further growth for Earth Animal not only In the UK but further afield with the Nordics being slated for the launch in the near future.

Liz is excited to join the UK team following a period working as a brand manager in Australia, and prior to that in global product development in London at similarly passionate brands, such as The Body Shop Int'l. As brand activation manager at Pedigree, she will focus on the marketing and commercial activation of the brand in the UK, ensuring the momentum of the launch is maintained throughout 2020 and beyond.

This builds further on Earth Animal’s transatlantic ties, as Stewart Shanley, CEO of the company and Sam Noble, head of international, are both British.

“We’ve made a cracking start in the UK with our partners at Pedigree, securing distribution for our category-busting ‘No-Hide’ Chews in 500 wonderful pet stores around the country in short order and we’ve just had a brilliant debut at Crufts, but this is just the start of a really exciting journey for us in the UK”, says Sam Noble.

“We have exciting plans to expand the range this year and will be investing heavily with Pedigree and our retailers to make the most of it. In addition, we really want to help consumers to get to know and share in the passion and purpose that makes us so much more than a provider of great products. We want them to become a part of the Earth Animal family. Will and Liz’s appointments will be key to that.”
