Staff at Laughing Dog food have been keeping themselves active during lunch breaks, evenings and weekends to raise funds for UK charity, the Guide Dogs.
Keeping a step tracker between the team, their aim is to walk the equivalent length of the UK — from John O’Groats to Land’s End. For every donation made to their Guide Dog Just Giving page, the dog food company is donating dog food parcels to UK animal food banks.
Kate Tarrant, marketing manager for Laughing Dog, said: “We are delighted to have hit the 900 mile point already. We are following social distancing measures and using the activity as a positive way to unwind from work. Many of our customers have been sending in ideas and tips for keeping active — we’ve certainly enjoyed getting our steps in to help raise funds for our guide gog puppy’s training.”
The Guide Dogs have published COVID-19 support and information packages for those with sight loss at this challenging time, including a dedicated helpline. For more information, visit their website at www.guidedogs.org.uk
