Johnson’s Veterinary Products celebrate their 100th Birthday!

Johnson’s Veterinary Products, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of pet healthcare products, is encouraging pet stores across the nation to join in with their 100th year birthday celebrations for the chance to win an array of exciting prizes.

To mark the centenary on 31st July, Johnson’s is inviting its stockists to host in-store pop-up parties and displays designed to highlight the role of local pet stores in pet-owners’ lives, and will be rewarding the most creative by giving away thousands of pounds of Red-Letter day prizes to hardworking staff.

Chairman David Johnson, grandson of founder Arthur Johnson commented: “Pet stores have played a critical role caring for pets during the recent pandemic, and it has been a privilege to have been able to support them by providing a range of products that help pet owners resolve a lot of less critical health and conditioning issues, in a cost-effective manner - the ethos of Johnson’s for a hundred years.

“With this competition, we want to not only say thank you to all those businesses who have continued to support us, but also to celebrate the special relationship pet stores have with their customers. By throwing pop-up parties in-store, everyone can get involved and celebrate with us on our special day. The displays can be as big, or wild or imaginative as you like, the important this is to have fun with it. And in return, we’ll reward the teams responsible for best exhibits with some wonderful prizes.”

There are three prizes up for grabs in each of Johnson’s five sales regions. The first-place prize will be a £600 voucher to spend on any experience day provided by Red Letter Days, with the second-place winners receiving a £200 voucher and third £50.

To help stores with their displays, there is a range of branded 100th Birthday party hats, cake toppers, posters and bunting free to download on Johnson’s website.

In addition to the in-store promotions, Johnson’s has also pledged to donate a proportion of profits made on 31st July to its five chosen charities for 2021: Hounds for Heroes; Dogs for Good; Fat Fluffs, Woodgreen and Fur Babies Cat Rescue, all of which continue to provide invaluable support to pets and their owners.

Mr. Johnson, added: “The wellbeing of animals remains to be at the heart of all we do. Together with these charitable organisations and those who work across the pet store community, we all share a passion for pets in all shapes, sizes, and species. Although the high street is struggling, these organisations remain a beacon of hope and will always have our full support.”
