The Federation of Garden and Leisure Manufactures Limited, the organisation behind PetQuip among other companies, as announced that it has ceased trading with immediate effect.
In a statement released on 5 February, the federation said that they could no longer operate in a financially stable manner due to a combination of reasons including:
- Disruption caused by the global pandemic
- Trade friction as a result of Brexit
- A decline in support for export services
What does this mean for 2026 Interzoo exhibitors?
Between 12 – 15 May, the pet world will descend onto Nuremberg, Germany for Interzoo, the world’s leading trade fair for the pet industry. All exhibition bookings made for the event through PetQuip have now been transferred to the Interzoo show organiser. They say that deposits and payments have been passed on, and exhibitors will be contacted by said organiser for the next steps.
UK pet companies associated with Interzoo will now be closely supported by Prairie Limited for their oversees exhibition services. The company has also taken over the Annual PetQuip Awards which will be relaunched as The Pet Excellence Awards.
