PetQuip has announced a call for entries as the event moves from Telford to Birmingham to sit alongside PATS.
PetQuip UK trade association has revealed the category list for the PetQuip Awards 2025, with 16 awards across product, retailers, suppliers, marketing, sustainability and individual achievement.
“We are delighted to launch the 2025 PetQuip Awards in an exciting new venue, which gives us the opportunity to introduce more glitz and entertainment for the evening, so it’s not just a prestigious celebration, but also a place for the pet industry to party!” explained organiser Susan Fairley.
“Mindful that the number of awards needs to be kept tight so we can keep the evening moving, we have introduced only one new category, online retailer of the year, which we felt was important to include as there are so many online businesses out there who need a specific platform” continued Susan.
Leopard the marketing communications consultancy returns as headline sponsors of the awards, alongside Law Print and Packaging, CIPS, Interzoo, Petface, Copdock Mill, Pedigree Wholesale, Noble Futures, Zoomark, PBW News and PPM. The awards are organised in association with PATS, who are also sponsoring the international retailer award.
“We would like to issue a clarion call to all companies in the pet industry to put themselves forward for our awards. The profile our finalists and winners receive as a result of our marketing campaign across the PetQuip and PATS communities is superb, for companies of all types and size. We look forward to seeing and celebrating innovation and excellence from across the pet trade” commented Joe Denham, PetQuip’s new Director General.
PetQuip is lining up a panel of expert judges for the judging day in early August, which will also take place in a new venue, Birmingham Dogs’ Home in nearby Solihull. All sample product submitted for judging will be donated direct to the dogs’ home afterwards. The panel will be revealed in due course.
The PetQuip Awards will take place on Monday 29 September at the National Conference Centre located just a few minutes’ drive from the NEC, to sit alongside PATS.
